ProMounds Pitching Mounds

ProMounds Pitching Mounds has been a leader in the industry since 2001. Initially, ProMounds started by offering a small set of high-quality portable mounds. They have since expanded their selection of baseball mounds and added a softball pitching mat line.

ProMounds recently teamed up with legendary softball player, Jennie Finch, to offer multiple softball mats. The entire product line, both baseball and softball mounds, are lightweight and durable. They take pride in the products they offer and that shows in the mound’s quality.

ProMounds is unique in the fact that they only offer 6” high mounds in their selection of game mounds. They do not offer any 8” or 10” high game pitching mounds.

There are four different game pitching mounds to choose from including the 5070, Bronco, Minor League, and Major League Pitching Mounds. They do offer two 10” Practice Mounds, a 4” Practice Mound, and Softball Pitching Mats

ProMounds Pitching Mound Features:

High Density Foam

ProMounds constructs each mound with high-density foam. The high-density foam is lightweight, making the mounds easy to move.

PRAT

PRAT stands for ProMounds Rubber Armor Technology. The PRAT Technology seals the high-density foam along the outside of the mound. The PRAT Technology allows the mounds to be used indoors and outdoors.

Spike Resistant Artificial Turf

When ProMounds mentions that the turf is spike resistant, they are referring to rubber cleats. They do not recommend using metal cleats on their mounds. However, the turf they use will hold up well for rubber cleats. They use a heavy-duty turf to ensure that you will get plenty of years out of the mound.

Multiple Color Options

The mounds are available in both clay and green.

Lightweight Design

As mentioned above, ProMounds uses high-density foam to construct their mounds. This foam is extremely lightweight. ProMounds Game Mounds range from 36 pounds up to 70 pounds. They have the lightest portable game mounds on the market!

ProMounds Pitching Mound Selection:

Training Mound

The Training Mound is a 4” high mound that is perfect for practice in the backyard or in the bullpen. This mound is lightweight, only weight 21 pounds, making it easy to put in the back of the car to take it to the ballfields. The Training Mound gives pitchers the feel of throwing off a raised surface, rather than practicing off the flat ground.

5070 Pitching Mound

ProMounds 5070 Mound has become one of the most popular pitching mounds on the market. The 5070 is much more affordable than other pitching mounds. It is the perfect mound to help your local little league get started! Not only is the 5070 affordable, but it is also portable.

Instead of worrying about how you are going to move a big, bulky mound, why not purchase the 5070 that weighs in at 36 pounds. Coaches will appreciate the portability of the 5070 and will not wake up the next morning with back pain. A win-win.

Minor League Pitching Mound

The Minor League Game Mound is regulation height for little leagues. The mound measures 6’ Long, 5’ Wide, and 6” high. The Minor League Mound does not have the same length as the Major League Mound. On the Major League Mound, pitchers will be able to complete their strides on the pitching mound. This will most likely not be the case on the Minor League Mound.

Major League Pitching Mound

The ProMounds Major League Game Mound is a favorite among coaches and tournament directors. It is the most popular pitching mound that ProMounds sells. It is the perfect mound for youth baseball as it has plenty of length for the pitcher’s stride yet is very lightweight.

The mound weighs only 70 pounds, making it significantly lighter than most of the competition’s mounds. The Major League Mound has official Little League specifications.

ProModel Platform Practice Mound

The ProModel Practice Mound is beloved by many academy owners, high school coaches, and college coaches. The mound has a skid proof bottom that prevents scratches on gym floors. If you are looking for a pitching mound to be used indoors during the winter months, the ProModel is a great option! The mound comes with a handle on one side and comes standard with mound caddy for easier transportation.

Collegiate Platform Practice Mound

The Collegiate Mound is like the ProModel. The Collegiate Mound has all the same features except for the width. The ProModel measures 5’ wide, while the Collegiate Model measures 4’ wide.

Professional 2-Piece Practice Mound

The Professional 2-Piece Mound has the same features and dimensions as the Collegiate Mound. The big difference is, well you guessed it, that it is two pieces. The two-piece design makes the mound easier to move and store. Instead of having to try to fit one big piece into the gym’s closet, you can break the mound down into two pieces for easier storage.

Jennie Finch Pitching Lane Pro

The Jennie Finch Pitching Lane Mat is the perfect training tool for young softball pitchers. The mat includes a line down the middle of the mat to help pitchers keep centered towards home plate.

The mound also includes two outside lines to help pitchers comply with the NCAA regulations that restrict players from pitching outside of the 24” pitching rubber. Every mat comes standard with a pitching rubber and carrying case.
